Here's your #TapeTuesday. From the Sue P collection, this weeks installment is an unopened Maxell LN60 Low Noise Cassette. I opened it and listened to it and I'll be honest, not sure what all the fuss is about. The album is very minimal, with minimal percussion and almost no "sounds" if you will. The whole thing flew by in 2 45-minute sides with nary a melody or a riff you could hang your hat on. I guess this would be classified as "Musique Concrete." I bet the band Maxell had to really regroup and rediscover their passion on their next tape. #Maxell #LowNoiseCassette #LN60 #PositionNormal
Every Tuesday night I have been posting a picture of a cassette tape from my collection. When I first fell in love with rock music, it was February 1995, I was 11 years old, and I was forced to buy cassette tapes instead of the then fashionable compact disc. To commemorate 20 years in love with rock music I decided to start #TapeTuesday. Here is the latest. Follow me on Instagram @andyderer.
