Episode #153 of The Andy Derer Show! “Willing and Able” with special guest Howard Willing

Howard Willing

This week Andy had a blast chatting with Howard Willing. He is a record engineer who has helped create dozens of groundbreaking albums from artists as eclectic as Sheryl Crow, Tupac Shakur, OK Go and Glen Campbell. Working under the wing of world-class producers like T-Bone Burnett, Andy Slater and Flood, Howard has amassed a good understanding on how to create the right sound for each band or artist he works with. Andy and Howard also go in-depth on Howard’s long-lasting relationship with Billy Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins, helping create classics like Adore, Machina/The Machines Of God and the latest Pumpkins effort Monuments To An Elegy. All in all, it’s a nice chat and the guys barely scratched the surface on Howard’s career. Andy also reads his latest Yo La Tengo album review. Thanks for checking out The Andy Derer Show!
