Episode #166 of The Andy Derer Show! “The Punk & The Godfather” with special guest Jay Porks

Jay Porks

This week Andy welcomes back Jay Porks, longtime friend of the show and Staten Island-based writer and podcast host. The boys discuss Jay’s weekly podcast, The Jay Porks Podcast, available every Tuesday night and on demand at Derer Network’s iTunes feed. Then the guys go in-depth on the new Rolling Stone Magazine Top 40 Greatest Punk Rock Albums list. They dissect each album on the list and decide whether or not the album is “punk.” But who really knows what that even means! Despite some technical difficulties its a lovely (and funny) chat. Andy also opens the show with his new acoustic cover version of Paul Westerberg’s “It’s A Wonderful Lie.” Thanks for checking out The Andy Derer Show!
